After watching the Wellcast video and referring to the worksheet I have understood that public speaking requires immense preparation; not just mental but physical. The first point that stood out is that in order to be prepared for my presentation, I need to write down the main ideas I want to get across to the audience. I learned from this video that, in order to capture the audience's attention I should begin with a hook (quote or anecdote), use personal stories and facts to support all your evidence and finally, I have to make sure to incorporate a strong conclusion. Furthermore, I also learned from this video that, while it is important to have a good (script) or ideas of how the presentation will go, I must maintain good posture and use strong hand motions. Overall, to successfully complete a presentation, it is vital to prepare and know what your presentation is about. It is also important to be natural and maintain the right posture and body language because this will help keep you calm and composed.
